There has been some discussion in the body of Christ on the topic of generational curses. What are generational curses? More importantly, what do the scriptures say about them? If you feel that you have some kind of cloud hanging over your head from the past, or your family’s past, this teaching will set you free. Why? Because the solution to these problems is always the same – “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free”.
Set your affections on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:2). Here is a good question for every believer: How much affection do you have for the Bible, Christianity, and the things of the Kingdom? It’s important not to set your mind on the things of this world and become too fond of all it seems to offer. If you are hidden in Christ, the devil can’t touch you.
The night was given to us by God as our time to sleep. Our bodies were designed to need sleep. Just as every person needs oxygen, food, and water to survive, we also need sleep. There is a strategy from the devil to deprive people of their much needed rest. If we’re going to be effective in kingdom living, and complete our assignments in the earth, we have to learn how to rule the night. Join Pastor Joni as she lays out a scriptural strategy to take back the sleep and rest that God promised you.
You are the husbandman of your own garden. You’re the farmer of your own life, the caretaker of your own flower bed. Only you know what’s growing there. It’s time to pluck up the weeds and bad things and start to plant the right things. Now is the time to focus on what’s growing and cultivate what is right. Don’t just run through life knowing you have weeds, but have no time to think about them. In the kingdom, everything begins with a belief and a word.
By the word of God, everything happens. Everything He does, He uses a word. When He created the universe and all that is in it, He spoke and it came into existence. You are going to have to use your words to make things happen as well. God will empower your words because you are made in His image. If the Father uses words to accomplish things, his children also will have to use words to accomplish things. So never underestimate the power of what you say; for right things, or wrong! A right word spoken in faith is what’s needed for a miracle.
Understanding the kingdom principle of scattering seed and harvesting a crop is connecting the spiritual with the natural. It’s by faith that you believe in these things and put them into practice. It’s one thing to plant seed, but how do you reap your harvest?
The book of Acts is what we’re to hold before our minds as the will of God. It is the pattern that God established for the New Testament Church: a church full of supernatural activity, where there is an exchange of heaven and earth, its people doing the acts of God by faith under the most unlikely circumstances doing the impossible, and living a life of overcoming faith fueled by the power of God.
In the kingdom of God, there is a principle upon which all things operate. It’s a spiritual rule that you put into practice whether you realize it or not, for good or for bad. It begins with a seed and ends with a harvest. The truth is, your words are seeds, and they are planted when you speak them. What happens if you have planted the wrong seeds? Is there a way to pluck up bad seeds sown?
On the 500th anniversary of the Reforamtion, we are the recipients of many spiritual blessings because a few bold people were not afraid to stand up and declare the truth. Some say that today we need a new reformation, or a new revolution in the Church, but is that necessarily so? If we build line upon line, truth upon truth, and from faith to faith, righteousness is revealed.
